After Central Catholic senior Jimmy Meyers officially won the rain-delayed WPIAL Class AAA Golf Championship on Wednesday, he quickly glanced at his phone to see how twin sister Jessica was playing.
Jessica Meyers, senior at Oakland Catholic, was playing in the WPIAL Class AAA girls golf championship at Diamond Run Golf Club.
When he saw that his sister bogeyed the first hole, Jimmy mumbled ‘Come on Jessica’.
Like Jimmy, Jessica has committed to play NCAA Division I golf. While Jimmy will be playing at Penn State, Jessica recently committed to play at Notre Dame.
Now Jimmy is pulling for his sister to win the girls title. She ended up finishing tied for third.
“I wish I could be there, but I’ve missed too much school already,” Jimmy Meyers said. “I folledow what she did on my phone.”
