Mars & Peters Twp Win PIAA Girls Soccer Championships

Mars proved their girls soccer team is out of this world Friday when they captured the schools first ever state title as the Planets blanked the previously undefeated Villa Jospeh Marie Jems 1-0 at Hersheypark Stadium. Crysta Ganter scored the lone goal midway through the first half for Mars. Then on Saturday, Peters Township was twice as nice as the Indians won a second consecutive PIAA Class AAA title with a 1-0 victory over Pennridge. While Peters and Mars were the golden girls, Springdale had to settle for silver as the Dynamos fell in the Class A championship match. Here are ALL of the results from the 2011 PIAA Girls Soccer Playoffs.
