Mars receiver Gabe Hein commits to Sacred Heart

Mars rising senior Gabe Hein announced a verbal commitment to Sacred Heart on Wednesday morning via his X account.
The 6-foot, 170-pound wide receiver played alongside his older brother, Liam Hein, at wideout last season. Liam graduated and will be wrestling at Point Park for the upcoming school year.
Hein had an impressive junior campaign, compiling 939 receiving yards on 66 catches with seven touchdowns.

Mars went 6-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play, including a thrilling 48-42 win over Montour in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs.
Sacred Heart moved to independent status in Division I FCS in 2024, removing its football team from the Northeast Conference while transferring all its other athletic programs to the Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference.
