Norwin’s Landon Sidun tabbed a preseason All-American

Norwin junior Landon Sidun is considered the top 120-pound high school wrestler in the nation.

The Penn State commit was named to the first Nike Wrestling Preseason All-American Team, announced Monday night by FloWrestling.com. He was the only WPIAL wrestler to make the list.

Sidun, who is back to 100 percent after a broken right hand cost him the WPIAL and PIAA postseason last winter, is 72-2 for his career. He won a PIAA title as a freshman.

During a two-week span last year, he won Beast of the East, Powerade and Don Buchanan titles. In his first action since returning from his injury — after an eight-month layoff — he upset Rocklin Zinkin en rout to a title at the Who’s Number One tournament last month.
