Numbers tell story of successful season for Bethel Park football

One of the strengths of the Bethel Park football team this season was its offensive firepower. The Black Hawks accounted for 416 points, an average of 34.6 per game, and 4,584 total offensive yards.

Here is a further look at Bethel Park football 2025, by the numbers:

9 — Players on this year’s playoff team that were all-conference selections.

A pair of seniors, Santino LaMolinare (OT) and David Dennison (RB), and junior Will Sabatos (S) were first-team honorees. Juniors Santino Nowozeniuk (WR), Ryan Bergia (DT), Brady Bruckner (DB) and Nate Purcell (OG) and seniors Jovian Smith (DE) and Bryan McGuire (DT) made the second team.

3 — Number of times LaMolinare was named all-conference in his high school career. Sabatos, Dennison, Smith and McGuire were voted as conference all-stars twice.

2,239 — Passing yards for quarterback Evan Devine, who completed 121 of 224 passes with 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Devine averaged 186.6 yards passing per game.

69 — Devine’s longest completion of the season (to Nowozeniuk).

201.8 — Yards passing per game as a team.

1,540 — Rushing yards for Dennison, who averaged 128.3 yards per game and 6.2 yards per carry.

25 — Touchdowns for Dennison, who led the team in scoring. He reached paydirt 21 times on the ground and four times on receptions.

13 — Number of Bethel Park players who caught at least one pass in 2025.

40 — Nowozeniuk’s team-leading reception total, good for a team-high 839 yards and seven scores. Nowozeniuk averaged 21 yards per reception. Dennison also caught 26 passes for 345 yards while Sabatos nabbed 23 for 439 yards.

22 — Number of combined receptions by Bruckner (11-233) and Smith (11-221). Charles Simmons, Antonio Williams, Lucas Skerbetz, Takondwa Moyo, Nate Cirincione, Tyler Miller, Troy Goelz and Richard Johnson tacked on 39 receptions for 798 yards and seven touchdowns between them.

180.3 — Yards rushing per game as a team.

209 — Total first downs by Bethel Park, consisting of 106 by rushing, 85 via passing and 18 by penalty.

382 — Average offensive yards per game.

306.3 — Opponents’ average offensive yards per game.

57 — Points scored by kicker Xavier Jackson, who split the uprights on 45 PAT kicks and was 4 of 4 on field goal attempts. Jackson’s longest FG traveled 32 yards.

14 — Number of Bethel Park players who scored at least one touchdown this season.

17 — The number of touchdowns that Nowozeniuk (7), Sabatos (6) and Simmons (4) accounted for in 2025.

3 — PAT kicks by Brady McCarthy.

6-4 — Regular-season record, which included a 2-3 mark in the Class 5A Allegheny Six Conference.

1-1 — Postseason record. Bethel Park defeated North Hills, 38-7, in the WPIAL first round and lost to conference champion Peters Township, 42-14, in the quarterfinals.

2,180 — All-purpose yards racked up by Dennison. Along with his rushing and receiving yardage, Dennison led the team in kickoff returns with 295 yards. His longest return covered 59 yards.

246 — Points scored in the first half of games by the Black Hawks: 105 in the first quarter, 131 in the second quarter. Opponents were held to 140 first-half points.

59 — Total tackles by Kahanuola Kuewa, the team leader in that category. Kuewa was credited with 41 solo stops and 18 assists. He had one interception and broke up three passes.

58 — Total tackles by Jack Johnson, which ranked second on the team. Johnson registered 39 solo and 19 assists. He finished with a team-high nine tackles for losses for 27 yards, two sacks and two interceptions.

15 — Number of players who ended up in double digits in tackles this season. Along with Kuewa and Johnson, they were Simmons, Smith, Bruckner, Nate Cirincione, Ryan Bergia, McGuire, Tim Ondo, Nowozeniuk, Dennison, Richard Johnson, Sabatos, Tyler Miller and Nathan Purcell.

4 — Team-leading number of interceptions by Bruckner, who accounted for a team-high 100 yards in returns. Bruckner also led in pass break-ups with five.

1 — Number of interceptions by Richard Johnson, but it was returned 50 yards.

29 — Punts by the Black Hawks in 2025. Jackson punted 12 times, averaging 33.1 yards per kick. Lucas Rubican punted 16 times, averaging 31.4 yards per kick. Enzo Centofanti also punted once for 40 yards.

11 — Punt returns for 48 yards by Bruckner, who also had seven kickoff returns.

307 — Total points allowed by the Black Hawks, an average of 25.5 per game.
