Oakland Catholic’s Jayde Boyd, a WPIAL basketball finalist two years in a row, announced her commitment Saturday to Fairleigh Dickinson.
The 5-foot-10 guard will be a senior in the fall.
Fairleigh Dickinson, a Northeast Conference team in Hackensack, N.J., was the first to offer Boyd a scholarship last September. The Knights went 15-15 overall last season, 9-11 in the NEC.
Boyd, already a two-year starter, helped Oakland Catholic reach the WPIAL finals as both a sophomore and junior. Her team went 19-10 last season, finished as the WPIAL Class 5A runner-up and reached the state quarterfinals.
Boyd earned first-team all-section honors.
