Opening round matchups finalized for PIAA baseball playoffs

The brackets are set for the 2025 PIAA baseball playoffs.
Nineteen WPIAL teams will be participating in the six tournaments with as many as four district teams in the Class A, 3A and 5A playoffs and only one in Class 6A.
There were no PIAA champions from District 7 last year for only the second time in the past 10 years (2015, ‘19).
The defending champs are Landisville Hempfield in 6A, Governor Mifflin in 5A, Holy Ghost Prep in 4A, Neumann-Goretti in 3A and Faith Christian in A.
Bald Eagle had won two straight 2A state crowns, but the Eagles did not qualify for the PIAA postseason this spring.
