Pair of teams aim to defend PIHL Penguins Cup titles

The high school hockey championships are set for the PIHL Monday and Tuesday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry.

On Monday, two new champions will be crowned in Class 2A and Division 2 after Cathedral Prep lost in the quarterfinals and Morgantown, W.Va. was bounced in the semifinals in OT.

However on Tuesday, there could be repeat Penguins Cup champions as Seneca Valley in Class 3A and Avonworth in Class A go for back-to-back frozen gold.

Here is the schedule for the four title games, along with the results from the semifinals, quarterfinals and, in Class A, the first round of the 2026 PIHL postseason.

No. 1 Seneca Valley Raiders (19-0-2-1) vs. No. 2 Peters Township (16-4-0-2) at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry at 6:15 p.m.
