Penn Hills football’s Daequan Hardy receives another postseason award

Penn Hills senior Daequan Hardy added another postseason honor to his list.
The all-state defensive back, PIAA Class 5A player of the year and TribLive HSSN player of the year was named Mr. PA Football on Saturday, a statewide award announced at a banquet in Harrisburg.
Hardy received the big school award, which includes Class 4A, 5A and 6A players. Southern Columbia junior Julian Fleming earned the small school honor.
This was the ninth year for the Mr. PA Football award.
Hardy, had two receiving touchdowns, returned a kickoff 84 yards for another score and made a 100-yard interception return in Penn Hills’ 36-31 state championship victory over Manheim Central in Hershey.
The Penn State recruit finished the season with 22 touchdowns.
