Penn-Trafford notebook: Top track performers rank among WPIAL’s best

Here is a list of some of Penn-Trafford’s top track and field performers and how they rank in the WPIAL this season. The top 24 advance to WPIAL individual championships May 14 at Slippery Rock.
Some of the standout performers are Jack McGhee (800, 1600 and 3200), Ekulous Lett and Aidon Lett (hurdles) and Logan Kerstetter (throws). Kerstetter is the reigning WPIAL Class 3A javelin champion.

Lacrosse teams on roll
Penn-Trafford’s boys and girls lacrosse team continue to perform well.
The boys are 7-2 in Section 1-2A, trailing South Fayette (8-0), Peters Township (8-1) and Bethel Park (8-2). The Warriors are 10-5 overall. They’re on a five-game winning streak.
The girls are 7-3 in Section 1-3A after playing in Class 2A in 2024. The Warriors trailed Upper St. Clair (9-0), Mt. Lebanon (7-1) and Peters Township (6-1).
They won their third consecutive game April 30 by defeating Canon-McMillan, 16-6.
