PIAA basketball qualifiers for 5A, 2A boys, 6A, A girls

As the WPIAL basketball playoffs enter the final week, it's not too early to look ahead to the 2018 PIAA playoffs which begin next weekend. After the district semifinals in boys 5A, boys 2A, girls 6A and girls A, here are the qualifiers for the state playoffs from those brackets. The final order will be decided after the championship games Thrusday, Friday and Saturday.

Boys Class 5A qualifiers — 5 teams

(If Mars wins, Hampton qualifies. If Franklin Regional wins, Moon qualifies)

Boys Class 2A qualifiers — 6 teams

Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers

Jeannette Jayhawks

Leechburg Blue Devils

Springdale Dynamos

Girls Class 6A qualifiers — 5 teams

Girls Class A qualifiers — 5 teams
