PIAA playoff picture clearing up for WPIAL basketball teams

The Path to the Pete is set with six boys and six WPIAL basketball championship games at Pitt’s Petersen Events Center on Thursday through Saturday.
Four schools will double up by sending both the boys and girls teams to the district finals: Upper St. Clair, Peters Township, Aliquippa and Union.
Also on Thursday, the final four WPIAL consolation games will be played to help finalize the order for the upcoming state postseason.
The PIAA playoffs begin with first round action on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8.
Here is an update of the WPIAL teams that have qualified and the order in which they will be seeded out of District 7.
