PIAA sets sites, times for 2025 football semifinals

The journey to Cumberland Valley and the 2025 PIAA football playoffs moves into the third stage and the Final Four.

The state playoffs continue this upcoming weekend with the semifinals featuring all six WPIAL champions.

Newly minted District 7 champions Peters Township in 5A, Avonworth in 3A, Seton LaSalle in 2A and Clairton in Class A join one week state playoff veterans Central Catholic in 6A and Aliquippa in 4A.

The six WPIAL winners are set to play champions from District 3 in 6A, 5A and 4A; District 6 in 3A; and District 10 in 2A and A.

Heading into the state semifinals, 2024 state champions Bishop McDevitt in 5A, Northwestern Lehigh in 3A and Bishop Guilfoyle Academy in Class A are still alive for a PIAA repeat performance.

The 2025 PIAA championships at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Field will take place Dec. 4-6.
