The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League announced its players of the month for October.

The are:

• Class A: Linus Jesionowski, Avonworth

• Class 2A: Kevin Teamann, Bethel Park

• Class 3A: Chris Costa, North Allegheny

• Division 2: Landon Vaccaro, Ringgold

Jesionowski, a senior forward, had 10 points across three games, including eight goals and two assists. He came back from a shoulder injury he sustained in last year’s PIHL playoffs. The injury required surgery.

Teamann, a senior goaltender, went 2-1-1 in five games and made 87 saves on 95 shots.

Costa, a sophomore goaltender, is 5-0 with a 1.20 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage, all numbers that lead 3A.

And lastly, Vaccaro, who attends Belle Vernon but plays for Ringgold on a co-op, racked up 16 points in a six-game stretch, with 11 goals and five assists. He is a senior forward.

The players of the month were announced on Facebook, not on the PIHL website as usual.
