Pine-Richland, Peters Township, Shady Side Academy to begin PIAA field hockey playoffs

The WPIAL field hockey championships are over and done with some familiar programs hoisting gold in Pine-Richland in Class 3A, Peters Township in 2A and Shady Side Academy in Class A.
Now the chase for state gold begins with the start of the 2024 PIAA field hockey playoffs.
Here’s a look at opening-round matchups Tuesday:
