Rosters set for 29th Cager Classic at Highlands

The 29th annual Cager Classic, featuring senior basketball players from Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler and Westmoreland counties, is set for March 28 at Highlands.
Practices will be 6 p.m. March 26, the skills competition 7 p.m. March 27, and the games — 5:45 p.m. for the girls and 7:45 p.m. for the boys — March 28.
The skills competition will include a 3-point shooting contest and a hot shot contest, where a participant will have 45 seconds to score from eight locations on the floor.
Each team will have an MVP, and the winner will receive a $500 scholarship. Two more scholarships can be earned through an essay contest.
Tickets are $4 for students and $7 for adults.
The Cager Classic features seniors from Apollo-Ridge, Armstrong, Burrell, Butler, Cheswick Christian Academy, Deer Lakes, Franklin Regional, Hampton, Highlands, Kiski Area, Knoch, Leechburg, Mars, Plum, Riverview, Springdale, St. Joseph, Valley and West Shamokin.
The East boys and West girls teams were winners in 2025.
The rosters for the games are subject to change.
