MECHANICSBURG — It started as a back-and-forth, neck-and-neck game, but that’s not the way it ended on Saturday evening between Mt. Lebanon and Bishop Shanahan in the PIAA Class 3A girls lacrosse quarterfinals.

MECHANICSBURG — The Radnor Raptors of Wayne in Delaware County are 5-0 all-time in PIAA boys lacrosse championship games, and that program was the challenge facing Mt. Lebanon on Saturday afternoon.

Top-seeded Pine-Richland entered the WPIAL Class 3A girls lacrosse championship game having defeated No. 3 seed Mt. Lebanon by 12 goals in a May 8 regular season showdown.
Mars and Mt. Lebanon will try to defend their boys and girls lacrosse titles in their respective classifications at the WPIAL championships Wednesday and Thursday at Upper St. Clair.
