Wrestling for a team championship at Shady Side Academy is no longer an option for the 2012-2013 season. After forfeiting their first two section matches against Avonworth and North Catholic, Shady Side Academy will now be forfeiting the remainder of their team matches and will only compete in individual tournaments.

The Indians were scheduled to face South Allegheny on January 2nd, Keystone Oaks on January 9th and Riverview on January 16th. All five section opponents pick up 1-0 wins via forfeit.

The decision comes after only having three wrestlers entered into the opening weekend wrestling tournament at Chartiers Houston in December. The three wrestlers who participated were Noah Goldstein (freshman, 145), Kyle O'Connor (freshman, 195), and Logan Platt (sophomore, 285).
