Six named WPIAL field hockey players of the year

The WPIAL Field Hockey Coaches Association announced its top players for the 2025 season.
Offensive players of the year include junior midfielder and Pitt commit Claire Mill of seven-time defending champion Pine-Richland in Class 3A, senior forward Emma Srodes of Fox Chapel in Class 2A, and senior midfielder and Penn State recruit Coco Maxwell of three-time defending champion Shady Side Academy in Class A.
Defensive players of the year are senior midfielder Emilia Barreiro of North Allegheny (3A), sophomore goalkeeper Julia Anderson of Peters Township (2A) and junior goalkeeper Aarona Casas-Arnedos of Aquinas Academy (A).
