South Park’s Troy Cunningham named MVP as West sweeps PSFCA East-West games

The West All-Stars swept two games at the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association East-West football all-star games Sunday at Cumberland Valley’s Chapman Field.
In the small school game, the West defeated the East, 14-0. Carson Nagle (Bald Eagle Area) threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Hamilton Gates (Bishop Guilfoyle) and a 44-yard TD pass to Trent Adams (Tyrone) for the West.
Nagle threw for more than 250 yards in the victory.
South Park defensive tackle Troy Cunningham, a Temple recruit, was named the West MVP after he had four sacks and a tackle for loss.

The West then beat the East, 17-12, in the large school game Sunday evening.
Pine-Richland kicker Grant Argiro, a Colgate recruit, drilled a 41-yard field goal to open the scoring.
James Zigler (McDowell) had a 48-yard interception return for a touchdown, and Mark Harrington (Altoona) returned a fumble 36 yards for a score for the West, which led 17-0 at halftime. Harrington was named the West team MVP.
