New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson will be a guest speaker for a large group of boys underclassmen basketball players Tuesday at RIZE Sports in Leetsdale.

Players will be practicing that night for the underclassmen games, which are a lead-up to the annual Roundball Classic senior all-star games set for next Thursday through Sunday at North Allegheny High School in McCandless.

Wilson will speak around 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and free of charge.

There will be prizes, music and social media presence, and college coaches are expected to attend.

Underclassmen games featuring more than 150 freshmen, sophomore and junior players will be played next Thursday, Friday and Sunday at North Allegheny.

The Rising Stars Challenge “main game” will be at 8 p.m. next Sunday.

Players from the WPIAL, City League and District 10 will play in the Roundball Classic and underclassmen games.

For the first time, KDKA will televise games.

A one-day ticket to the Roundball is $10 for adults and $5 for children. A weekend pass is $20.
