Since the WPIAL formed Class AAAA football in 1980, only six running backs who played in Class AAAA rushed for more than 4,000 career yards.But two of them reached the milestone on the same night Friday.Mount Lebanon’s Luke Hagy and Pittsburgh Central Catholic’s Damion Jones-Moore had big games in victories Friday night and also pushed past 4,000 yards.Chicks Picks – 10/13/2011

Fresh into the second half of the regular season, new life seemed to be breathed into several players as their performances rose just as the mercury outside was on the rise from the last two weeks. Welcome to Week 6 of the high school football season. Chick’s Picks fields numerous invitations each month requesting that she make a celebrity guest appearance at various events, from pep rallies to town festivals. It was the final tune up for most teams before conference play begins in the third week of the WPIAL football season...unless you play in the Class A Eastern or Tri-County South Conference...then it is section play and business as usual. Of the five district games played on the second Saturday of the season, here is a tip of the cap to those players who appear ready for prime time.
