WPIAL Friday Night HighLights for 10/17
October 18, 2014
Some coaches will tell you that a win is a win is a win. But if you look closely at some of the victories on the eighth Friday of the WPIAL football season, you would see that is not true. Some triumphs kept undefeated seasons alive, some kept conference championships alive, some were key playoff positioning wins while others just kept playoff hopes alive while others were accomplished with a group of young men just playing for school pride. No matter how you label it, these players performed at the top of their games Friday while enjoying the sweet taste of victory after. Ben DiNucci - Pine-Richland

WPIAL Big Game Hunting – Week Six 2014
October 1, 2014
The tension is starting to mount here in the 2014 WPIAL football season. On the field, in the standings and, yes sometimes in the plush MSA Sports World Headquarters as some of the MSA gang have occasionally wandered too close to Mike Azadian’s “Friday Night Eats”. Mitch tends to respond to people taking his pizza the way the 2014 Clairton Bears have responded to not picking up their sixth straight WPIAL championship in 2013, angrily and emphatically. So as we get set to go Big Game Hunting here in week six I warn you Don’t poke the Bears, and don’t eat that last chocolate chip cookie, it’s for your own safety.

WPIAL Friday Night HighLights for 9/12
September 13, 2014
After a couple of humid and warm Friday nights to kick off the 2014 season, cool air prevailed in Week Three making it feel more like football weather. With concerns of water breaks and cramps behind them, many players relaxed and let their talents take over with some huge efforts on Friday night. We scratch the surface with some of the peak performances on the third Friday of the season. Alex Minton & Levi Metheny - Bethel Park

CTK ’14: WPIAL AAAA Southeastern Conference Preview
August 13, 2014
While Upper St. Clair and Woodland hills battled for the top spot in the Quad-A Southeastern Conference in 2013, much the same as they did in 2012, one team that missed out on the WPIAL football playoffs in 2012 was back into the postseason in 2013 while a long time playoff team and co-champion in the conference in 2012 was a rare spectator come playoff time in 2013. Some things stayed the same in the conference made up of teams east of Pittsburgh as well as south of the city…like Upper St. Clair beating out Woodland Hills for the section crown in the regular season, only to see the Wolverines eliminate the Panthers for the second straight season in the district Semifinals.
