National Letter of Intent Day: Division I-A Signings From WPIAL Class of 2013

It was a down year for top talent coming out of District 7. A year ago, 32 WPIAL football players put their John Hancock to paper and faxed their futures plans to their respective Division I-A schools. On National Letter of Intent Day 2013, only 18 players from the WPIAL took part in the annual process Wednesday morning. Stretch Run high school football action continued with another busy Friday in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Welcome to Week 2 of the high school football season. Chick’s Picks dreads making her predictions the first few weeks of the season. Her crystal ball is usually still a bit cloudy from the off-season, making it difficult to foresee accurate picks. The boss does not want to hear about a lackluster performance from the crystal ball, however, so the pressure is on from Day 1.
