CTK 2011 – WPIAL AAAA FOOTHILLS Conference Preview

The Foothills has become the not-so-golden conference in Class AAAA. With North Allegheny ending the Northern Seven championship drought in 2010, attention turns to the Foothills Conference. CTK 2011 – 2010 WPIAL Class AAAA Football Flashback
It had been two decades since one of the WPIAL Class AAAA's top football programs had won a district championship. However that drought ended when North Allegheny captured gold by beating the 2009 champion Woodland Hills Wolverines in the WPIAL finals at Heinz Field. Three weeks later, the Tigers captured a second PIAA football crown to go along with the 1990 state championship they won.

WPIAL Softball – 2011 Season Preview

The 2011 WPIAL softball season is set to begin on Friday, March 25th. Two district teams are defending STATE champions in Mount Lebanon and Chartiers-Houston, while the Blue Devils, Montour Spartans, Valley Vikings and Vincentian Academy Royals now begin defense of their WPIAL titles, even though the Vikings have moved up from Class AA to Class AAA.
