Mount Lebanon and Hampton won the very first WPIAL boys lacrosse championships two years ago in 2009. After missing out last season, the gold rush continued for both the Blue Devils and Talbots in 2011. They saved the best for last. Upper St. Clair denied Canon-McMillan a repeat of the Penguins Cup Class AAA crown with a thrilling overtime victory to close out the very first high school hockey championships at the new CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh on Sunday night.
