Another battle of top ten teams in AAAA, I guess we can also hope that 1 vs 10 this week; will be better than 2 vs 7 was at Upper Saint Clair last Friday. In dedication to Clairton's school colors, maybe they should change the name of this Class A section to the Black AND Orange Hills Conference. The 2011 WPIAL softball season is set to begin on Friday, March 25th. Two district teams are defending STATE champions in Mount Lebanon and Chartiers-Houston, while the Blue Devils, Montour Spartans, Valley Vikings and Vincentian Academy Royals now begin defense of their WPIAL titles, even though the Vikings have moved up from Class AA to Class AAA.
