Hopewell’s Rushel Shell has a chance to break the state career rushing record in Friday night’s WPIAL Quarterfinals against Franklin Regional. The drought is now five years since a WPIAL girls volleyball team has captured a PIAA championship...and Counting. The matchups have been set and the countdown begins for the ceremonial ribbon to be cut for the opening of the Highway to Heinz. The final day of the 2011 regular season and the final Saturday of high school football...well, until the WPIAL championships that is. For coaches and fans, the conditions were rather frightful, but for all of those teen-age kids, the snow and the mud was very delightful.
