Welcome to Week 5 of the high school football season. Chick's Picks was thrilled to learn that Wilkinsburg finally claimed its 500th win last week, 26-21 over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. A bit of surprise was supposed to be in store for high school football fans with THREE games on this first night of Week Three. However Mother Nature forced the postponement of one of the WPIAL games, thus the schedule shrunk back to the normal one WPIAL and one Pittsburgh City League game. Allegheny Conference teams won't have to "get real" so fast this season. Over the past two seasons, the Allegheny has consisted of 10 teams, which meant all teams started playing conference games the first night of the season. There were no non-conference games. Everything was real from the get-go.
