Since then, the Bulldogs have won the conference title five times, including four in a row. Beth-Center has lost only one conference game in the past four years. Hometown Softball Recap for Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers – 04/25/2015
April 25, 2015
It's a shame one of these two teams had to lose. Both pitchers for Chartiers-Houston and Jefferson-Morgan pitched a gem, but it was the Rockets who walked away with the W in a tight Section 1 A softball game. Senior Megan Kraushaar lead off for the Bucaneers, making contact with one of Maddie Ludrosky's pitches, flying out to right field. She would be the only batter to make contact until she was up again in the 4th inning, as Ludrosky struck out the next 8 straight in the lineup.

As WPIAL basketball heads into the new year, two of the best teams – record-wise – are the Southmoreland boys and the Jefferson-Morgan girls. Say what? Yes, it is unheard of the past few decades for the Southmoreland boys and Jefferson-Morgan girls to be doing so well in the same season. Winning isn’t associated much with the two teams. CTK ’14: WPIAL A Tri-County South Conference Preview
August 23, 2014
Respect. The Tri-County South Conference doesn’t have much of it from the rest of WPIAL Class A, and the only way to earn it is to “show up” in the postseason. The much-maligned Tri-County South is 0-12 in playoff games the past three years. Since the 2007 season, the only Tri-County South teams to win a playoff game are Monessen and Beth-Center. But Monessen is no longer in the conference. The last Tri-County South team to win a playoff game other than Beth-Center or Monessen was Jefferson-Morgan in 2006. Will things change this year? Well, Beth-Center looks to be the cream of the crop again, but some other teams have some experienced players. Here is an overview of the Tri-County South: AVELLA EAGLES:
