Highway to Heinz – Quarterfinals Recaps 2010

The Parkway Conference in Class AAA and the Eastern Conference in Class A were both 4-0 in WPIAL first-round football playoff games last week. That is impressive, but not unheard of in the WPIAL. Now if either one of those conferences go 4-0 in this week's games, it will be a first.

Ryan Gil and NA Teammates Golden in PIAA Cross-Country Championships

Freeport Wins First Ever WPIAL Girls Volleyball AA Title
Coming into Saturday's WPIAL Class AA Volleyball Championship match, everyone knew that there was going to be a new champion after the defending back-to-back Class AA Champion West Allegheny Indians had been dethroned on Thursday night at Franklin Regional High School in the semifinals by the number top-seed Indiana "Little Indians" in five thrilling sets.

When it comes to records, maybe its time to stop thinking about Rushel Shell in a WPIAL sense. Maybe its time to look at the entire state. Shell, Hopewells wonderful junior running back, ran for 193 yards against West Allegheny in a 34-31 overtime win last night. That gave him 6,358 yards for his career.
