The Herald Spotlight Athlete: Fox Chapel’s Sarah Sinnott

Sarah Sinnott, a senior on the Fox Chapel soccer team, scored three goals in a game against Shaler last week. She’s been playing soccer since she was 4 and is also on the lacrosse team. Sinnott, a center mid and forward, has given a verbal commitment to play at Pitt.
“I loved the coaching staff at Pitt and knew that it was an academically well-rounded school,” she said.

What’s the best book you’ve ever read?
“Harry Potter.”
What movie could you watch over and over?
“High School Musical.”
What three things have to be in your refrigerator?
Fruit, water and guacamole.
What sports would you be playing if not soccer?
Lacrosse and surfing.
Who would be your dream date?
Christian Pulisic.
Do you have a most embarrassing moment you try to forget about?
When my own teammate ran me over in a running game when I was a freshman because I was in the wrong spot.
Who is the most overrated athlete in sports?
I think a lot of the athletes people normally think are overrated are actually good athletes. For example, Carli Lloyd and Tom Brady get a lot of hype, so people think they are overrated.
What three words would describe you?
Kind, athletic, determined.
Who would you like to see disappear from public view?
The Kardashians.
What would make up your favorite all-time meal?
Pizza, salad and ice cream.
Is there a food you refuse to eat?
Artichokes.
If you were on American Idol, what song would you sing?
“Bet On It.”
What is your favorite TV show?
“The Office.”
What junk food do you have a weakness for?
Any kind of chocolate.
