The theme for this 2010 WPIAL football season appeared to be a changing of the guard. Some teams with a recent history of struggles had successful regular season. Then the playoffs brought force more 'new' faces to the championship chair, none more so than South Fayette, which won a WPIAL football crown for the first time since 1964 and North Allegheny, a district gridiron champ for the first time in twenty years. Plus the magnificent journey to gold for Central Valley in their very first year of existence. Oh yeah, one traditional power did rack up another title as Clairton captured WPIAL gold for the third straight year and for the fourth time in five seasons. Here are all of the results from the 2010 WPIAL Football Playoffs, with each game on the Highway to Heinz broadcast and archived here on the MSA Sports Network.
