Top-seeded Latrobe blanks Unity to advance to District 31 American Legion semifinals

Jack Stynchula pitched a three-hit shutout to lead Latrobe to a 7-0 victory over Unity Post 982 in the decisive third game of a District 31 American Legion baseball quarterfinal series Friday.
The Jethawks will face Lower Burrell in Game 1 of the semifinals at 4 p.m. Saturday at Legion Keener Park.
Cooper Basciano went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs for the top-seeded Jethawks, who lost the first game of the series and trailed 4-1 in Game 2 before rallying.
Duncan Foust doubled and drove in a run, Cole Short went 1 for 2 with two walks and two RBIs and Ty Wisniewski went 1 for 3 with two runs scored for Latrobe. Luke Bulebosh had two hits for Unity.
