A lot of the district teams ranked in the weekly Trib 10 from last week got a chance to collect candy, hand out treats or even scout future opponents since they were enjoying an opening round bye in the WPIAL playoffs with opening night falling on Halloween.
Now the good life is over and its back to work for the 11 district football teams that automatically advanced into the first official taste of November football this Friday.
Two ranked teams found Halloween to be filled with tricks as Mars and Southmoreland had their seasons come to a sudden halt after opening round losses.
This week, there are three head-to-head battles among ranked teams, all in the big school Trib 10 with No. 5 Woodland Hills hosting No. 8 Upper St. Clair and No. 7 Moon visiting No. 6 Penn-Trafford in the 5A quarterfinals, along with a 2024 title game rematch in the Class 4A semifinals as No. 4 McKeesport takes on No. 9 Thomas Jefferson.
Here is the latest Trib 10 big school and small school power rankings for 2025, with the team’s current record followed by their ranking from last week.
These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
