Trib 10: Changes loom in power rankings with big games dead ahead

You could call it the calm before the storm.

There was very little movement in the latest Trib 10 as 19 of the 20 district teams ranked last week were winners in Week 4.

The lone exception was in the small school power rankings as Hopewell slipped out after a second straight loss, with unbeaten Southmoreland breaking into the Trib 10 for the first time.

However, we won’t be singing that same tune next week as we wrap up September football this weekend.

There are three head-to-head matchups between power-ranked teams highlighting Week 5.

In the big school Trib 10: Top-ranked Central Catholic visits No. 3 North Allegheny in 6A, and in a Class 5A Allegheny 6 Conference opener, No. 2 Peters Township hosts No. 5 Upper St. Clair.

In the small school power rankings, No. 2 Imani Christian hosts No. 5 North Catholic in a battle of undefeated Class 3A teams.

Central Catholic and Avonworth continue to remain on top of their respective rankings.

Here is the latest Trib 10 big school and small school power rankings for 2025 with the team’s overall record and their ranking from last week. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
