Trib 10: Handful of teams tumble from power rankings

While the top teams stayed intact with victories in Week 6, a couple of middle of the pack and lower-end power-ranked teams were knocked off and knocked out of this week’s Trib 10.

District heavyweights Thomas Jefferson and South Fayette each lost for the second time this season and slid out of the big school power rankings, replaced by old rivals Norwin and Penn-Trafford.

In the small school rankings, North Catholic lost for the second time and Freeport tasted defeat for the first time this season, dropping them from the Trib 10.

Their spots were taken by the only under .500 team in the ranking, Central Valley, along with surging Seton LaSalle.

Once again this week, Central Catholic and Avonworth continue to sit atop their respective rankings.

Speaking of the Vikings, they will kick off Week 7 with a rare Thursday game as they host No. 9 Norwin in the only battle of Trib 10 ranked teams for this weekend.

Here is the latest Trib 10 big school and small school power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
