So how low should a team go in the power rankings after a loss?
The answer is there is no answer.
Every team that loses has different circumstances that determine the final outcome.
In the big school Trib 10 this past week, three teams lost, but both Pine-Richland and McKeesport dropped a few pegs and remain ranked while Bethel Park at No. 9 slipped out.
In the small school rankings, both Washington and Mohawk lost and fell all the way out, opening the door for two new teams.
Here is the latest Trib 10 big school and small school power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
