A year ago, the Neighborhood Academy boys and South Fayette girls finished the season at the top of the Trib 10.

A new calendar year brings new weekly power rankings where classifications don’t mean a darn thing.

Right out of the gates, head-to-head showdowns fill out the rest of the week.

Lincoln Park host Chartiers Valley boys on Wednesday, Shady Side Academy visits Greensburg Central Catholic girls on Thursday and Mohawk battles Aliquippa boys on Friday.

Here is the first edition of the Trib 10 basketball power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and final ranking from last year.

These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
