Much like a week ago, it was a bumpy ride for the top baseball teams and relatively smooth sailing for the district softball teams in the weekly Trib 10 power rankings.

While the top three baseball teams held serve, including Pine-Richland maintaining its spot at No. 1, three district teams exited the Trib 10 this week.

The killer Bs were stung as Belle Vernon, Blackhawk and Butler slipped out of the power rankings, opening the door for South Park, Seneca Valley and Canon-McMillan to join what has been a slippery slope this spring.

Once again, softball stayed mostly intact except for the top two and the bottom two.

At the top, Seneca Valley gave up its seat at No. 1 after losing to Pine-Richland, allowing undefeated Hempfield to take over the top spot in 6A and the Trib 10.

At the No. 9 and 10 spots in the power rankings, Connellsville and North Hills tumbled out as Shaler and Knoch claimed the bottom two spots.

Here are the latest power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking. These weekly rankings have zero classification boundaries.
