With so many big games around the WPIAL, there was some shuffling of the deck in the latest Trib 10 power rankings, including a new team at No. 1.
There were three head-to-head battles between ranked teams last week, including the much-anticipated showdown in 6A with a rematch of the 2022 championship game.
This time, it was Central Catholic beating North Allegheny as the Vikings take over first place in 6A and in the Trib 10.
Thomas Jefferson moved up a spot while Belle Vernon fell two after the Jaguars came back to beat the Leopards, and Peters Township bumped up a spot after shutting out Upper St. Clair and dropping the Panthers out of the power rankings.
USC dropping out opens the door for our second 3A team in the power rankings as unbeaten Avonworth moves in at No. 10.
There are no head-to-head matchups between Trib 10 teams coming up in Week 5.
