Two district champions have been crowned, and four are set to be determined on Championship Saturday in the WPIAL.
The number of active district teams continues to shrink to the point that the power rankings now have six big school and four small school teams that are done for the season.
Central Catholic repeated in Class 6A and Aliquippa claimed a 21st title in 4A as those two teams join Westinghouse in the PIAA quarterfinals Friday.
Eight WPIAL teams head to the North Shore on Saturday to determine champions in Class A, 2A, 3A and 5A.
With three weeks left in the high school football season, Central Catholic and Avonworth remain at the top in their respective Trib 10 rankings.
