Six WPIAL basketball teams invaded Hershey this weekend with state championship dreams.

Now that finals are in the books, four teams returned west with silver while two are celebrating first ever PIAA titles.

South Fayette fell to Peters Township in the WPIAL girls basketball championship game to end a three-year run on top, but now a new run might be underway as the young Lions ended Archbishop Wood’s four-year reign to win the PIAA 5A state crown.

Neighborhood Academy captured double gold as the school celebrated a first WPIAL and PIAA Class A boys basketball championship.

The Lions won 28 of 30 while the Bulldogs were victorious in 29 of 30 games this season.

Here are the final Trib 10 basketball power rankings with the overall records from this season, followed by where that team was ranked last week.
