Trib 10: Top teams in WPIAL power rankings gaining steam

The storms keep coming.
While delays, postponements and no contests reared their ugly heads again last week, the Trib 10 remained unscathed.
Nine of the 10 power-ranked teams from last week were victorious while the only team that did not pick up a “W” was Pine-Richland after their game scheduled against Seneca Valley was postponed.
There is no sign of foul weather for Week 3, which is highlighted by the start of conference play in five of the six classifications.
Here are the latest Trib 10 power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record and last week’s ranking. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.

2. North Allegheny, 3-0, (2): The Tigers visit Hempfield on Friday on HSSN
3. Peters Township, 3-0, (3): The Indians host Trinity on Friday
4. Pine-Richland, 2-0, (4): The Rams host North Hills on Friday
5. Upper St. Clair, 3-0, (6): The Panthers visit Hampton on Friday
6. Montour, 2-0, (7): The Spartans host Knoch on Friday on HSSN
7. Thomas Jefferson, 3-0, (8): The Jaguars host Avonworth on Friday on HSSN
8. Central Catholic, 1-2, (5): The Vikings host Mt. Lebanon on Friday
9. Belle Vernon, 1-0, (9): The Leopards visit McKeesport on Friday on HSSN
10. Fort Cherry, 3-0, (10): The Rangers host Chartiers-Houston on Friday
