It’s time to flex on the diamond with the first edition of power rankings for baseball and softball in the 2026 season.
If you are new to the Trib 10, each week we tackle the tough task of ranking the top baseball and softball teams without any classifications.
The two teams sitting at No. 1 in their respective sports finished on top when the 2025 season ended.
The reigning WPIAL and PIAA Class 4A baseball champion Indiana remains on top while 2025 district and state Class 2A softball champion Neshannock continues to crank out the wins despite both programs getting hit hard by graduation.
Here are the first power rankings for the 2026 season. Teams are listed with overall record and last year’s final rankings.
These weekly rankings have zero classification boundaries.
