Let’s all tip our caps to the 12 teams that flexed their muscles and accomplished the golden goal of winning a WPIAL championship.

It has become old hat, but kudos to the Neshannock softball team has it captured a fourth consecutive district crown.

Halfway to that mark is Mohawk, which repeated as WPIAL Class 3A softball champion.

The other 10 winners are freshly minted title holders.

In baseball, Seneca Valley in 6A and Shaler in 5A both won as No. 3 seeds.

Indiana in 4A, Riverside in 3A and Serra Catholic in A all were top seeds.

Freedom was the one long shot champ, winning its first crown as the No. 8 seed.

In softball, Hempfield in 6A and Union in A won it all as the No. 1 seed while Shaler and Hampton collected gold as No. 2 seeds.

Up next, the two-week battle for more gold in the PIAA playoffs.

Here are the latest power rankings for the 2025 season. The overall record is followed by the team’s ranking from last week’s Trib 10.

These weekly rankings have zero classification boundaries.
