Trib HSSN changes access for some broadcasts

As it enters its 25th year, Trib HSSN will rely on sponsorships and business partnerships to bring free broadcasts to its loyal viewers.

For more than two decades, HSSN brought live coverage to viewers free of charge, and we remain committed to that cause.

However, in cases where sponsorships are not available, HSSN will charge a nominal fee to offset the network’s costs as it fulfills its mission of spotlighting regional athletes’ achievements.

All other areas of the Trib HSSN website, including previews, features, game coverage, standings, scores, statistics and schedules, will remain free.

“We want to keep providing thorough coverage with our broadcasts of games,” HSSN general manager Justin LaBar said. “We’ll continue to aim for local business and school sponsorships keeping some broadcasts free to view. The pay-per-view model of some games will also help us offset some costs.”

Viewers can visit tribhssn.triblive.com and click on the broadcasts link to access games and the broadcast calendar. Once viewers select the game, they can create an account, log in and pay a $5.99 fee per game.

This will begin starting Friday with Week Zero high school football games.
