It was a rough week for those who wear the bull’s-eye atop their respective classifications.

Two top-ranked teams tumbled from No. 1, one dropping to No. 5 and the other free falling out of the latest Trib HSSN boys basketball rankings.

Imhotep Charter takes over the lead in Class 6A while Father Judge, fresh off its PCL championship victory over previous No. 1 Roman Catholic, debuts at No. 2.

In 5A, Montour had been No. 1 but dropped out following a WPIAL semifinal loss to the new No. 5 team, Chartiers Valley.

These changes happen after nearly a month of the same six top-ranked teams holding the fort down.

As the district playoffs wind down, the other top teams are Devon Prep in 4A, Aliquippa in 3A, Linville Hill Christian in 2A and Neighborhood Academy in Class A.
