Girls high school basketball teams across the state are watching the finals sands of the regular season go through the hourglass with the 12 district postseasons only a week away in most cases.

Four teams blinked and saw their spot in the Top 5 disappear with losses.

Dropping out were Central Bucks East in 6A, Dallas in 5A, Wilmington in 2A and DuBois Central Catholic in A. They were replaced by Hazleton, Hollidaysburg, Muncy and Veritas Academy.

While those changes took place, all was quiet once again at the top of each classification for a third straight week with Archbishop Carroll in 6A, South Fayette in 5A, Blackhawk in 4A, Shady Side Academy in 3A, Kennedy Catholic in 2A and Bishop Guilfoyle Academy in A still No. 1.

Here is the latest Top 5 in each of the six classifications. Teams are listed with overall record, district and last week’s ranking.
