Trib HSSN Pennsylvania girls high school basketball rankings for Feb. 5, 2025

We are midway through the first week of the second month with the district girls basketball playoffs throughout Pennsylvania just around the corner.

When the music stopped this past week, four teams lost their seat in the Trib HSSN girls basketball state rankings.

Falling from the Top 5 were two teams from Class 5A in Middletown and Archbishop Wood, along with North Catholic in 4A and Marian Catholic in 2A.

Promoted to a spot in the rankings are York Suburban, Gwynedd Mercy, Neumann-Goretti and Williams Valley.

The power teams at the top continue to stack victories. They include Hazleton in 6A, South Fayette in 5A, Scranton Prep in 4A, Shady Side Academy in 3A, Kennedy Catholic in 2A and Bishop Guilfoyle in A.

Here is the latest Top 5 in each of the six classifications. Teams are listed with overall record, district and last week’s ranking.
